Little Sheep Mongolian Shabu-Shabu

Little Sheep Mongolian Shabu-Shabu is different from others. Broth royal spices and grains including dates, longan, and cardamom were used. Hearing the name would instantly reminded of dip dye fry dishes from Japan. Hmmm ... but this is different, shabu-shabu which is typical of China's Mongolia country's bamboo curtain there. What is the difference from shabu-shabu Japanese and Mongols? Stay tuned following next review.

The First Mongolian Shabu-Shabu in Jakarta
This is the first time I tried shabu with 100% sauce different from others restaurants. In another restaurant, shabu's sauce only just made from the broth with a little seasoning then when eating, the meat should at first dip with meat sauce provided. Shabu sauced served filled with various kinds of spices and grains are widely encountered in China and India (where Mongolians seems not far from India also affect the taste of Mongolian cuisine). Call it, angco, kinci, dried longan, dates, cardamom, ginger, spring onion and various other spices including chilli pieces and chunks of garlic. Extraordinary!!!

Bubur Ayam Kwang Tung

Lately my friend told me about Bubur Ayam Kwang Tung, one famous restaurant in West Jakarta. I tempted to tried it, so I went there with my mom and Danish. Previously, I have searching the review by the internet. Many good reviews about this restaurant and I became curious to go the Kwang Tung.

Bubur Ayam Kwang Tung in Pecenongan consist of many different style of porridge. One portion porridge served in a big bowl with chunks of chicken inside of it. Most delicious if eaten with cakwe. One big portion chicken porridge can share to three people.

Bubur Kwang Tung - Seafood steamed ala Hongkong is a restaurant that offers a variety of flavours porridge menu as the main menu. Bubur Ayam Kwang Tung is already known to many people because it has a lot of famous people; both artist and officials; has been coming here, proved their pictures are displayed in the restaurant.

Here is a list of menu which is relative expensive but still worth it if it compared to the taste is obtained. All the menus are presented free of MSG and Halal.\

Bubur Ayam Rp 40.000 (include soy sauce and fried peanut)
Cakwe Rp 12.000 (cut into small pieces)
Ice Tea Rp 3.000
Orange Juice Rp 20.000

Bubur Ayam Kwang Tung would taste better if mixed with cakwe that has been cut into small pieces.
Please come to at any time because Bubur Ayam Kwang Tung open 24 hours.

Festival Kuliner Serpong - Jawa Sing Ngangeni

Saturday after classes, my mom takes me and Danish to spent the time to Serpong Culinary Festival which is held in Summarecon Mal Serpong until date of 22 September 2013, this time themed Sing Ngangeni Java. We arrived there in the afternoon. Before entering, I have to change money to coupons which was valid to buy some food in stalls there. The coupons looks more like monopoly coupons.

Coupons

Lots of food stalls from outside the island of Java but we were looking for rarely foods in the market. My mom interested to try Nasi Campur Gudeg with Krecek and brown egg while I interested to tried Bongkot Nasi Campur Khas Bali even though this food not fit with the theme :)

Overall, Serpong Culinary Festival this time was very good organized and we were having so much fun tried many food that we weren't before.
