Last Monday, when the office was off, I used the time to walk around with Danish and my mom traveled to Museums. Basically, museums were a great place to visit, I can show to my son and tell the historical stories behind. Danish was very excited to saw trains ships in Museum Bahari even I know that he was very tired to follow me and my mom walked around.
We went from the house to Kota by train transit via Tanah Abang next to Kampung Bandan before arrive in Beos. From Beos, we used sepeda ontel, we paid Rp 20.000 each, to visit six different locations there are Toko Merah, Jembatan Kota Intan, Menara Syahbandar, Galangan VOC, Museum Bahari, Sunda Kelapa Port, and waiting we're taken pictures on different location before back to drop us to Kota again. After that, I went on to tour the museum Fatahillah, Museum Wayang, Museum Keramik, Cafe Batavia and old city building around Kota and took a photos there with Danish. Unfortunately, many museums were closed on Monday, so I couldn't go in and take photos inside the buildings.

This building is the former residence of the Governor General of VOC Reinier de Klerk and was built in the 18th century.
In 1900, there are plans to dismantle and build a shopping complex in its place. Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen ("association for the art and science of Batavia"), which it established de Klerk, intervened to save him. Among other things, Genootschap donated furniture that is still visible in the building.
Until 1925, the building was used Mining department Dutch East Indies colonial government. Then, where it became the Lands Archief ("land records"), which after Indonesia became a national archives building. In 1992, the national archives were moved to a new building in Jalan Ampera in South Jakarta.

The building was saved a bunch of Dutch businessman who founded the Stichting Cadeau Indonesia ("Indonesian prize foundation") who wanted to give it as a birthday gift Indonesian independence the 50th. The foundation is raising money to restore it and turn it into a museum.

Textile Museum occupies love old buildings in Jalan KS Tubun / Petamburan No. 4 Tanah Abang, Jakarta Barat
The building itself was originally a private home is a French citizen who was built in the 19th century. Then purchased by the Turkish consul named Abdul Aziz Al Katiri Almussawi who settled in Indonesia. Subsequently sold in 1942 to Dr.. Karel Christian Cruq.
In the struggle for Indonesian independence, the building became the headquarters of the Security Barisan Rakyat (BKR) in 1947 and inhabited by Lie Sion Pin. In 1952 and was bought by the Ministry of Social Affairs on October 25, 1975 submitted to the Government of DKI Jakarta is for later on June 28, 1976 was inaugurated by Mrs. Tien Soeharto as the Textile Museum
